2023 FDI Moot Champion: NALSAR University of Law

5 November 2023 FDI Moot - At Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University in Lucknow, a Tribunal of Dipen Sabaharwal (White & Case), Steven Finizio (Wilmer Hale) and Vera Bykova (MSC), presiding, found the team from NALSAR University of Law to have prevailed over the team from University of Delhi, Law Centre in the final of the 2023 FDI Moot (US$1500 prize sponsored by APS Chambers). Third place was taken by Universitas Diponegoro, Indonesia, ahead of the team from National University of Singapore.
Saranya Ravindran was determined to be the best advocate of the final (US$500 prize sponsored by APS Chambers). The best advocates of the four group phase matches were (ex aequo) Martin Rozka Zourek of Charles University, Czech Republic and Nishooldran Ravindran Urrutia of University of Malaya (US$500 prize sponsored by APS Chambers). The best woman advocate of the group phase also received a US$500 prize sponsored by APS Chambers.
The "highest ranked team" (combined scores for written submissions and group phase oral scores) was also Universitas Diponegoro, who will receive a US$1500 prize sponsored by Maxwell Chambers.
150 teams participated in the 2023 FDI Moot, with 55 reaching the Global Rounds (with 14 participating remotely due to travel/visa issues). Over 100 moot arbitrators contributed their time and expertise to the competition, with 48 traveling to Lucknow to participate.

The 2024 FDI Moot Global Rounds will be hosted by DIS in Germany from 1-4 November 2024; preceding National and Regional Round dates will be announced in the coming months.
