John Bellhouse has over 30 years experience of international arbitration, construction law and project finance, and has acted as advisor to clients involved in some of the world's largest infrastructure projects.
He represents clients in matters related to project appraisal, bespoke contract drafting and negotiation, post-contract administration and advice, as well as the resolution of claims by negotiation, mediation, litigation and arbitration.
John represents parties as counsel in international arbitration under (inter alia) the ICC, LCIA and UNCITRAL Rules of arbitration and serves as an arbitrator. He has substantial experience in relation to civil code jurisdictions as well as English and Hong Kong law, and of standard forms of construction contracts. He is a contributor to construction periodicals in the UK and Hong Kong and has lectured on construction law topics in the UK, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Singapore, China, Australia and New Zealand.
