Amanda Kemshaw is a Lecturer in the International and European Law Programme at The Hague University of Applied Sciences (THUAS) and a Research Lecturer at the Centre of Expertise Global & Inclusive Learning in the Research Group Multilevel Regulation. She is both the Coordinator and a Lecturer in the Dispute Resolution Minor, Advocacy & Conflict Management and Trial Practice modules and has a particular research interest in alternative dispute resolution mechanisms including mediation and international arbitration.
Prior to joining THUAS in 2020, Amanda was a seasoned litigation and arbitration practitioner, having practiced in leading law firms in both Canada and the Netherlands, most recently as Counsel in the International Arbitration and Disputes practice at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek in Amsterdam. Specializing in international arbitration and complex multi-jurisdictional disputes across all areas of industry, she has worked with clients and counsel from across the globe and appeared before numerous courts and international tribunals. Amanda also has extensive experience as mediation counsel and is a certified mediator. She is both a Canadian and Dutch citizen and holds degrees from Simon Fraser University and Dalhousie University.
