Michael Bolton

Michael Bolton is an associate in King & Spalding's Global Projects Practice Group, where his practice focuses on structuring and documenting international transactions. Before joining King & Spalding, Mr. Bolton was a tax associate in the international practice group of a mid-size Houston firm. His principal area of practice was federal income tax law, participating in the tax planning and structuring of international and domestic transactions. Mr. Bolton also has experience in general corporate law merger and acquisition matters, real estate finance, and resolving contested issues before the Internal Revenue Service, and state taxing authorities.
Mr. Bolton earned his Juris Doctor from American University, Washington College of Law in 1998. He completed the course-work for his LL.M. in Taxation in 1999 at the Georgetown University Law Center, and was awarded his degree in February 2001 upon the completion of his masters thesis. Mr. Bolton is licensed in Texas and Virginia, and is a member of the American Bar Association's Tax Section, and the Houston Bar Association.
