Dr. Kei Nakajima

Kei Nakajima is an associate legal officer at the International Court of Justice in The Hague, working as a judicial law clerk providing background legal research and drafting memoranda on pending contentious inter-state cases as well as on advisory dockets for a judge. He was formerly research fellow at the University of Tokyo and Kobe University in Japan. He has studied international law in Tokyo and in Geneva. He obtained a LL.D. from the University of Tokyo for his thesis on evidence and fact-finding before international courts and tribunals. His expertise includes international dispute settlement as well as investment treaty law and arbitration. His research currently focuses on the international law of sovereign debt restructuring.
