Sarah Schadendorf

Sarah Schadendorf is a doctoral candidate at the Walther Schücking Institute for International Law at Christian-Albrechts-Universität (Kiel) and a practising lawyer in the field of planning and environmental law.
She studied German, European and public international law at the Universities of Hamburg and Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and completed her legal training at the Hanseatic High Court of Hamburg. Between 2010 and 2014 she worked as a research and teaching assistant at the Chair for Public Law, Public International and European Law at Helmut-Schmidt-University (Hamburg) and at the Claussen Simon Foundation Chair for International Law at Bucerius Law School (Hamburg).
Her main research interests include human rights law (especially multilevel protection systems and the intersection with other areas of law), the law of international courts and tribunals and the role of civil society in international law.
