Jim Medford
Profile
Jim Medford is partner at Smith Moore LLP and head of firm's litigation and international practice groups. He has substantial experience in a number of varied areas of the law. He concentrates primarily on intellectual property litigation, white collar criminal defense and international business agreements with an emphasis on intellectual property. His litigation practice has emphasized patent infringement, unfair competition, trademark and trade secret litigation.
As head of the firm's International team, Mr. Medford also provides counseling to a number of large corporations, domestic and foreign, including licensing, joint research and development, and joint venture work in the NAFTA region, Mexico, South America, Western Europe (with emphasis on Germany, Poland, Switzerland, and Sweden), as well as China and India.
