Sebastian Zuccon is an economic and financial consultant with more than 12 years of experience, working as senior managing economist at Compass Lexecon in Paris. Mr. Zuccon has a Masters in Economics from the London School of Economics, Masters in Finance from Universidad di Tella, and a B.A in Economics from Universidad de Buenos Aires.
Mr. Zuccon specializes in assessing damages in treaty disputes, commercial arbitrations and litigations. He has testified as an economic expert in a major ICC case and has been team leader in more than 25 international arbitrations under ICSID, ICC, SCC, AAA and UNCITRAL rules.
His arbitration experience comprises several industries like airports, banking, electricity, food and beverages, infrastructure, insurance, natural gas, oil, pharmaceutical, pulp & paper, retail, telecommunications, transportation and water. These cases have involved contractual disputes, expropriations and commercial damages in countries like Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Hungary, Italy, Mexico, Poland, Romania, Russia, The Philippines, Turkey, United Kingdom, Ukraine and Uruguay.
Mr. Zuccon has co-authored with Manuel Abdala and Pablo Spiller Chorzów's Compensation Standard: As Applied in ADC v Hungary, published by the Institute of Transnational Arbitration. Volume 21. Winter 2007.
Mr. Zuccon came to Compass Lexecon from LECG, where he spent 7 years holding several senior manager roles at the international arbitration practice. He previously worked at KPMG Corporate Finance, where he served for three years as a senior corporate finance analyst specializing in business valuation, M&A and strategy.
