Julien Fouret is a Partner in the International Arbitration practice of the Paris office. He specializes in international commercial arbitration, with a particular focus on investment arbitration and public international law.
Julien has a wealth of experience in arbitration having held positions of counsel, chair and co-arbitrator for a number of arbitrations, while also spending two years as Counsel of the Secretariat of the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce, Paris. He has been involved in many complex arbitration cases in Europe, Middle-East and Africa, notably on the construction, telecom and energy sector.
Julien is also the author of numerous publications about arbitration and international investments and a lecturer in several French universities such as University of Paris X Nanterre, University of Paris II-Panthéon Assas, University of Paris Est-Créteil as well as a visiting lecturer at the University of Sherbrooke (Quebec). Finally, he is the Secretary of the IBA Arbitration Committee.
Regularly ranked in legal independent guides, Julien is notably praised for his work in Legal 500, Chambers Global, Who's Who Legal but also in GAR and French magazine Décideurs.
Member of the Paris Bar, Julien holds a LLM from the University of Mc Gill - Montreal (Canada) and a postgraduate degree in European and International relations from Paris X Nanterre University.
