Arthur Marriott QC was widely regarded as one of the leading figures in international arbitration and dispute resolution. In a career spanning over 40 years, he has acted as counsel in many of the most consequential arbitrations of their day. Mr. Marriott was one of the first two solicitors ever to have the title Queen's Counsel conferred upon him (the other was Lord Collins of the UK Supreme Court). Mr. Marriott has also appeared as advocate in a number of court cases.
Mr. Marriott has served as arbitrator and conciliator in a number of major arbitrations and mediations. He was a Barrister, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, a Chartered Arbitrator, an Accredited Mediator, a member of the Governing Board of the International Council for Commercial Arbitration, and a former member of the Board of the London Court for International Arbitration and the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre. He was also a former Deputy High Court Judge for England and Wales, a Recorder and President of Mental Health Review Tribunals.
